To get your learner’s permit or driver’s license in the state of Connecticut, you will need to pass a knowledge test based on information contained in the 2024 Connecticut Driver’s Manual. In order to achieve the necessary 80% passing score, you will need to answer at least 20 of the 25 multiple-choice questions correctly. In order to qualify for a learner’s permit, you must be at least 16 years of age. An individual who is 16 or 17 years old must take a commercial driver’s education course, a secondary school driver’s education course, or do home training. Regardless of the type of training, the individual must receive 30 hours of study that covers topics from the CT Driver’s Manual and safe driving practices, as well as 40 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Individuals over age 18 must take an eight-hour course about how to be a safe driver and commit to safe driving practices. This Connecticut DMV practice test will help prepare you for the knowledge test as it covers the same topics as the real exam.
