Colorado DMV Services

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is in charge of everything related to driver’s licenses, titles, and registration in the state of Colorado. While the DMV oversees all activities, it divides tasks between two separate offices. If you live in Colorado, you need to visit the Driver’s License Office or the County Title and Registration Office, depending on your needs.

Getting Your License in Colorado

In the state of Colorado, you are allowed to have an ID card or a driver’s license. You cannot have both.

Getting Your Title or Registration

County Title and Registration Offices provides titles, plates, and registration. Choose from regular, group special, military, and alumni license plates. The office also has additional special plates, including dealer and U.S. Senator plates.
