The Alaska DMV written test is available for residents between 14 and 16 seeking a learner’s permit. The knowledge test is made up of 20 multiple-choice questions based on the 2024 State of Alaska Driver Manual, and you’ll need to correctly answer at least 16 of the questions to pass. Your permit will cost $15, and in addition to the written test, you’ll also need to take an eye exam. Questions on the test will be pulled from the driver manual regarding safe driving techniques, road signs, rules of the road, and fines and limits. You may bring someone with you to assist while you take your test if you’re unable to read or have trouble reading. Use this DMV practice test to ensure you’re ready before you take the real thing.!
