The written knowledge test required to receive your learner’s permit or driver’s license will be a 30-question test, offered on a touchscreen computer, and based on the 2024 Arizona Driver License Manual. To pass the exam, you’re required to answer a minimum of 24 of the questions correctly to achieve a score of 80%. In addition to the $7 permit fee, or $25 for your license, you will also need to provide two forms of identification and a signed parental consent for if you’re under 18. The fee for your permit will cover three attempts to pass the knowledge exam within 12 months. Once you’ve received your permit, you will be required to hold it for six months while you practice driving, either with a parent, or as part of an approved driver’s education class, before you move on to a graduated driver’s license. This MVD practice test will help you study for your knowledge test by allowing you to practice answering questions on driving laws, restrictions, scenarios, and road signs.
