The Alaska driving knowledge test is a multiple-choice exam consisting of 20 questions based on the 2024 Alaska Driver Manual, and you’ll only be allowed to miss a maximum of four questions if you want to pass. To pass the Alaska written test, it will be important to study up on your road signs and road situations. At the age of 14, you may attempt to get your driver’s permit and at 16, you can test for your license – for both, you’ll need to be able to answer questions regarding signals, road markings, roundabouts, and divided or undivided roads. In addition to passing your written knowledge exam, you’ll also need to take a vision test, provide a parental consent form for those under 18, provide proof of identity and Alaska residence, and pay the applicable fee: $15 for permits and $20 for licenses. Use this DMV practice test filled with 50 multiple-choice questions to help you study and pass your test on the first try.
