VT DMV Written Test Simulator – Study Online 2025
- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Vermont Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for June 2025
To obtain a driver’s license in Vermont, you must meet a series of requirements. Importantly, you must pass a vision exam and an online permit test and meet various documentation requirements to qualify for a learner’s permit. This credential will allow you to practice driving under supervision.
The online permit test has only 20 questions, all based on the official driver’s manual (Vermont DMV Handbook (VT Driver's Manual) 2025). The passing score is 80%. Unfortunately, this means that if you answer just five questions incorrectly, you will fail the test. (You can retake the permit test on the next business day.)
Don’t let that happen to you!
Failing the knowledge test is a real possibility without adequate test preparation. Therefore, we provided you with various interactive test preparation tools to help you learn and memorize all the information you need to pass the permit test.
Our audiobook version of the official manual allowed you to listen to the text of the manual even while performing other activities. Our other Vermont practice tests dealt with all the topics addressed by the manual, such as the rules of the road and safe driving techniques. Our automated assistant accompanied each practice test. It could supply you with a hint for a question or an explanation of the correct answer, and it could also answer your specific questions. We hope you used all these tools to the fullest, studied hard, and gradually learned and memorized as much as you could.
Now it’s time to see if you really are ready to take the official knowledge test!
This Exam Simulator test runs in Exam Mode, closely resembling official exam conditions: The test consists of 20 questions based on the official manual, just like those on the official Vermont DMV permit test. The passing score is 80%, just like the official permit test. Unlike our other practice tests, the Exam Simulator test ends prematurely if you fail it (by missing more than four questions). There are no hints or other tools to help you answer the test questions. On this test, you’re on your own!
Plus, if you tend to experience test anxiety when taking official tests, then this Exam Simulator, by showing you just what to expect on the official test, may even help alleviate it.
Good luck!
